You know Philly loves a great burger. So, it is no surprise that Philly Burger Brawl has grown into a preeminent annual event of beefy indulgence. Not to be confused with other culinary events that celebrate gluttony of Philly favorites, Burger Brawl has a social conscience. All the proceeds from Burger Brawl are used to finance technology and literacy programs within underserved schools in the Philadelphia School District.

Restauranteur and philanthropists, Maggie and Rob Wasserman, created Philly Burger Brawl in 2011 to fund technology needs at The William M Meredith Elementary School which their children attended.

Philly Burger Brawl had humble beginnings with a handful of restauranteur colleges preparing ground meat goodness from pop-up tailgates in the school’s playground. With immediate success – enough was raised to outfit a complete computer lab – the Wasserman’s pledged to continue this program on an annual basis to support schools in underserved neighborhoods of the Philadelphia School District.

In 2018, Philly Burger Brawl will celebrate eight years of culinary competition and continue to advance literacy programs in our schools.  Join us on Sunday, June 3rd at Xfinity Live to join in the fun, flavor, and philanthropy of Philly Burger Brawl.

Chase Rice is adding a stop to the National Tour for his new album ‘Lions and Lambs’ – Philly Burger Brawl.  Chase will perform a full, outdoor concert at Xfinity Live! for foodies and fans attending Burger Brawl 2018.  One ticket never delivered so much -fantastic food, exclusive concert and an afternoon of fun.
